We understand that the content and topics covered in this forum can be uncomfortable or trigger trauma for some delegates. Therefore, we have arranged for healers to be available during the course of the event. They will be onsite for all four days to ensure our delegates’ wellbeing is a priority. If delegates wish to have a private counselling session, they can access the healing room at the event venue.
Kerry is currently the Team Leader for Uniting WA’s Intensive Family Support Service which provides therapeutic support for vulnerable families to enhance child safety and well-being.
She has over 20 years' experience working with vulnerable children and families in various roles in child protection including front line, practice development and management and supervision.
Child safety is a complex and confronting area to work in. A critical aspect of Kerry’s role is providing therapeutic support and clinical supervision to frontline workers in family and child safety ensuring worker physical, emotional and psychological safety and health.
Michelle is a mother of two who loves the beach and her dog and has a background in education and disability services. Michelle has worked with the Kwinana community for over 7 years, supporting families from all walks of life. After working with Ngala, running playgroups and facilitating parent support in both the Rockingham and Calista space, Michelle transitioned into supporting women and children in a Women's refuge. After 3 years with The Lucy Saw Association, as a child advocate, she began working with Uniting WA as a 'Parenting Under Pressure' practitioner in 2024. PUP is a one-on-one outreach program, that supports families to expand on their tools to deal with stressors they might be facing. The program is designed to focus on parent's strengths and build on them and assist with practical support to help them be the best parent they can be, because we know there are no "perfect parents", we just want "good enough" parenting.
Lisa is Working is currently the Acting Team Leader in Intensive Family Support Services with Uniting WA.
She’s been working with Uniting for the past 7 years, supporting and working therapeutically with families to increase safety for themselves and their children.
Lisa has also completed a Cert in Holistic Counselling and three years ago became a Reiki Practitioner supporting the wider community with healing through Meditation, Mindfulness and Reiki.

Natalie has 14 years of experience in a Community Services role and has earned a Certificate IV in Mental Health. Although new to the mental health field, she brings valuable lived experience to her work.

Travis is currently the Team Lead for the new Culture Care Connect Program at Moorditj Koort which covers mental health/suicide prevention/aftercare & postvention.
Travis has 6 years of knowledge in the mental health field and has worked mostly in the government setting of mental health within Community Mental Health clinics located at Northam in the Wheatbelt & Bunbury in the Southwest region. This involved a lot of insight to the ED, inpatient unit & community settings.
Joseph Fleming is a qualified registered mental health social worker, counsellor/therapist and experienced group facilitator.
Briarna provides counselling to both young people and adults who are supporting a loved one with mental health challenges. Briarna completed an Undergraduate Degree in Psychology, alongside a Masters of Counselling. Briarna works from a client-centred trauma informed approach incorporating skills from a variety of evidence-based approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).
Lindsey Kenyon began work as a Family Support Counsellor with HelpingMinds in 2017 after completing her undergraduate degree in psychology and postgraduate qualification in counselling and psychotherapy. Now in a Team Facilitator role, Lindsey offers counselling support to individuals, families and couples who are supporting a loved one experiencing mental health challenges, as well as facilitating the Family Connections program. Lindsey uses a client-centred, trauma informed approach and draws on skills from evidence based interventions such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy(ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Solution Focussed Brief Therapy (SFBT).
